International Women’s Day (IWD) oversees a number of MISSIONS to help forge a gender-equal world. Celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key.

On International Women’s Day and beyond we are choosing to challenge and we’re asking you to do so too. Let’s fight inequality wherever it is found.

Choose to Challenge inequality, 
Choose to hear these words, and be moved to challenge inequality

Rotary working together alongside International Women’s Day teams can fight inequalities experienced by women across the world. Our District 1100 message this year is based on working together through collaboration and communication.

UN Women announced the theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2021 (IWD 2021) as, “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.” The theme celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
