Rotary Club of Swindon Old Town has launched a satellite group the Thursday Welcome Breakfast and it’s open for new members. The group meets on Thursday mornings at Goddard Park School, Park South and monthly membership costs just £10.

Meetings are weekly
We meet every week from 7.30 am to 9 am for a light breakfast and networking. We occasionally invite speakers to cover important issues such as how we can help to reduce waste; find ways to balance climate change, and manage recycling.

Carrying on online
Right now, we are meeting regularly online. However we are still active in the community working with the local food bank. For example families without gardens have benefitted as the satellite group opened up the school grounds to enable the families to exercise and play outdoors.

Getting the children involved
The group also runs RotaKids at the school. RotaKids is a fun and exciting way for children aged 7-12 to make friends and get involved with important activities in the community. RotaKids clubs are based in schools where the teachers, alongside the local Rotary club help and support the activities. Children gain valuable experience in helping others and learning interesting, new things.
Swindon Old Town Rotary is proud to have supported the creation of Satellite group. If you are looking for ways to volunteer in the community check out the satellite group. We are part of the Community of Old Town and pleased to be supporting local initiatives.
